Roxanne Dowell an experienced editor, writer and screenwriter whose work appears in various international publications and websites. At the end of 2025, she decided to focus solely on screenwriting and has written a one-hour pilot and a feature film. She works on her craft daily.

Her pilot script, No One Will Marry You, won placement as a quarter finalist in The Writers Lab competition, 2023, and in the DIVERSITY XII Awards, 2024, and the Great Pitch Competition, 2025. In 2024, it was selected as a finalist for the Page International Screenwriting Contest. Her feature film, Guilty, earned her a placement as a quarter finalist in the Table Read My Script – Cannes, 2026 competition and a quarter-finalist in Emerging Screenwriters Comedy Competition, 2026.

As an editor, she has led editorial teams in Hong Kong, the United States and Cairo, Egypt. From 2020 to 2025, she was the main Hong Kong and Macau Freelance English Editor for Apple.com’s Marketing and Communication department. Her work has been featured in The New York Daily News, The South China Morning Post’s STYLE magazine (where her articles ranked consistently in the top 10 of most-read stories), Sassy Hong Kong and Sassy Mama Hong Kong (where she was senior editor), Inviato Travel, Expat Living, the career website Pivot HK, among other international publications.

As a creative content producer, she was commissioned by Burda Asia to write the website copy for Hotel JEN by Shangri-La. Hong Kong’s Communion-W hired her to write and edit the entire branded residence brochure and website content for Masterise Homes.
